Pointe 足尖,是芭蕾舞的代表,是每位女孩子夢寐以求的時刻。穿起足尖鞋,可做出優美、浪漫的舞步,令女性看起來跳得輕盈。例如在舞劇《仙凡之戀 La Sylphide (1832)》 及《吉賽爾 Giselle》中,女舞蹈員表現出如仙女、幽靈等的輕盈感覺。

Rises in 1st positions

要留意做足尖 練習時,要經常保持身體pull up,肩膊不要縮起,力要放在五隻腳指上,約在頭三隻腳指上,不要將力放在腳指尖,否則便會出現sickle的情況。

從圖中可看到正確及錯誤的示範︰
圖左為正確en pointe示範,力放在頭三腳指上,臀部收緊,pull up,便可以穩定站立。
圖右兩幅為錯誤示範,做rises in 1st position時,雙腳要保持turn out,不是turn in。而最右的圖可見到力放在最尾兩隻腳指上,向後拗,這是sickle,一不小心便會很容易扭傷腳踝ankle。
